PIERNIK STAROPOLSKI is used for making babkas, sandwich cakes and fruit cakes of various sorts. Because it contains natural spices and cocoa it has a truly spicy taste and aroma. It maintains fresh and moist structure for many days, so products based on it have a prolonged storing period.
Recipe suggestions:

BABKA
- 1000g of PIERNIK STAROPOLSKI
- 450g eggs
- 400g oil
- 200g water
Preparation:beat all the ingredients together for approx. 5-7 minutes at medium revolutions, bake at 180ºC for approx. 45 minutes, incise before putting in the oven, set the oven door ajar after 15 minutes

PIERNIK PRZEKŁADANY (SANDWICH GINGERBREAD)
- 1000g of PIERNIK STAROPOLSKI
- 350g eggs
- 300g oil
- 100g water
- 200g jam (marmalade)

CAKE WITH NUTS AND RAISINS
- 1000g of PIERNIK STAROPOLSKI
- 350g eggs
- 400g oil
- 100g water
Preparation: beat all the ingredients together for approx. 5 minutes at medium revolutions, pour dough into a baking tray, put nuts and raisins on top, bake at 170ºC for approx. 55 minutes.
Sandwich gingerbread should be cut into two or three parts and sandwiched with jam.
